Tata Consultancy Services has integrated Zodia Solutions’ digital asset execution and custody technology into the TCS BaNCS Global Securities Platform, widening the infrastructure available to banks preparing to launch crypto and tokenised asset services.
The integration embeds Zodia Solutions’ wallet, settlement and orchestration tools directly into BaNCS, allowing institutions to run digital asset operations inside their own environment while retaining control of private keys, custodian relationships and governance. Digital assets can be serviced through the same accounts, workflows and post‑trade processes used for traditional securities, reducing the operational lift required for banks entering the sector.
TCS said the setup aligns blockchain settlement with established conventions, with BaNCS managing the full transaction lifecycle — from order instruction to on‑chain delivery and reconciliation — across custodians, investment banks, asset managers and brokers.
Craig Perrin, chief commercial officer at Zodia Solutions, said institutions have moved beyond debating adoption and are now focused on how to deliver digital asset services safely and at scale. “Institutions are no longer asking whether to offer digital asset services — they’re asking how,” he said. “They need safe, scalable, regulated infrastructure that mirrors the controls they already rely on.”
He added that Zodia Solutions was built within Zodia Custody, extending established governance frameworks into the BaNCS environment. “This integration brings digital assets into the operational reality institutions already understand, without forcing them to rebuild their technology stack,” Perrin said.
The move comes as Zodia Solutions prepares for a leadership transition and broader institutional rollout. The firm is being established as a standalone digital asset infrastructure platform under SC Ventures, with Standard Chartered set to become an anchor client. Julian Sawyer, currently CEO of Zodia Custody, will lead Zodia Solutions once regulatory approvals and structural changes are completed — a shift designed to support the platform’s expansion into advisory, deployment and growth services for banks entering digital assets.
Zodia Solutions positions itself as an institutional digital asset infrastructure provider, offering key management, transaction orchestration, governance controls, risk tooling and access to partner capabilities such as staking, tokenisation and liquidity.
