Insurance payments platform Diesta has integrated Kinexys by J.P. Morgan’s payee verification technology to help insurers, brokers and managing general agents (MGAs) reduce payment risks and improve digital settlement processes.
The integration brings Kinexys Liink Confirm, an account and payee verification application from J.P. Morgan’s Kinexys division, directly into Diesta’s insurance payment workflows.
The partnership aims to address challenges within commercial insurance payments, where transactions often involve multiple parties, currencies, jurisdictions and banking systems.
Despite being high-value and heavily regulated, many insurance payment processes still rely on manual checks, spreadsheets and fragmented workflows, creating operational risks including incorrect account details, misdirected funds and fraud attempts.
By embedding payee verification into its platform, Diesta enables brokers, MGAs and insurers to validate beneficiary account information before payments are initiated.
The company said the integration will help insurance finance teams improve payment controls, reduce manual processes and support greater automation without requiring changes to existing core insurance systems.
Julian Schoemig, CEO of Diesta, said: “Insurance payments are among the most complex B2B payment flows in financial services. Money can move across multiple parties, countries and currencies before it reaches the final recipient, and every handoff creates operational risk.
“By integrating Kinexys Liink Confirm application into Diesta, we are bringing account and payee verification directly into the insurance payment workflow. This marks an important step for the insurance industry as it moves towards settlement processes that are more digital, secure and scalable.”
Kinexys Liink is a blockchain-based data-sharing network designed to allow institutions to securely exchange information, including account ownership verification. The network supports payee verification across more than 70 countries and is designed to operate independently of specific payment rails.
Gloria Wan, global head of networks at Kinexys by J.P. Morgan, said the integration will help institutions strengthen payment controls and reduce fraud risk.
“By integrating Kinexys Liink’s Confirm application directly into Diesta’s insurance payment flows, we’re making it easier for institutions to improve control and reduce payment fraud throughout the insurance lifecycle,” she said.
Diesta said it is the first fintech in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to embed this level of payee verification directly into insurance finance workflows.
The company is already live with the technology, with an early deployment supporting a global enterprise broker by cross-referencing thousands of payee accounts across multiple countries, currencies and account formats.
