Fipto, a stablecoin-powered B2B payments and treasury platform, has partnered with Spiko to let corporate clients invest idle balances in regulated UCITS funds.
Clients can invest from EUR balances, and directly from EURC and USDC stablecoin balances, without moving cash off the platform.
Fipto said treasurers using stablecoin rails hold significant working capital at all times, including payment buffers, collections awaiting reconciliation and balances held against settlement obligations.
Because stablecoin payments settle in minutes at any hour, funds arrive sooner and then sit idle for longer, including overnight and at weekends. Until now, earning a return on that cash meant moving it to a bank or asset manager.
Under the partnership, Spiko’s two T-bill funds accept subscriptions natively in EURC and USDC. All three funds on offer accrue returns every calendar day, so cash placed before Friday’s cut-off keeps earning over the weekend. Redemptions are returned within one to two business days.
The funds available are the Spiko EU T-Bills Money Market Fund, the Spiko US T-Bills Money Market Fund and the euro share class of the Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund, which was recently rated ‘AAAf/S1+’ by S&P Global Ratings.
Fipto holds a Payment Institution licence from the ACPR and MiCA CASP authorisation from the AMF. Spiko Finance is an investment firm authorised by the ACPR, and the funds are UCITS approved by the AMF. Fipto acts as introducer, while Spiko provides the investment service.
Each client is onboarded as a separate Spiko investor and holds its position in its own name, rather than through a pooled account. Fund assets are held by CACEIS Bank as depositary.
Patrick Mollard, co-founder and CEO of Fipto, said: “Fast stablecoin payment rails combined with yield on idle cash are what the finance of tomorrow looks like to us. Money moves the moment the business needs it, and does not sit still the rest of the time. And because the rails and the allocation run through the same API, the same flow works whether a treasurer triggers it, a rule triggers it, or in time an AI agent does.”
Paul-Adrien Hyppolite, CEO and co-founder of Spiko, said: “Fipto’s clients hold precisely the kind of short-term, operational cash that our funds were designed for.”
