Bitwise Asset Management, a global crypto asset manager, has launched a new on-chain investor offering through non-custodial vault strategies.
The offering is built on Morpho, an on-chain lending network providing programmable, non-custodial tools for lending and borrowing.
“Decentralised finance offers compelling yield opportunities, but the complexity of managing on-chain risk has kept many investors on the sidelines,” said Jonathan Man, CFA, portfolio manager at Bitwise and head of multi-strategy solutions and DeFi strategies.
“That’s why we’re so excited for Bitwise to enter vault curation. Bitwise provides value-add by layering professional guidance and risk management experience onto these non-custodial tools.”
The strategy targets an APY of around 6%, offering investors exposure to on-chain, fixed-income-style returns through transparent lending markets.
“As major institutions like Bitwise recognise the value in diversified fixed-income strategies in digital assets, vaults are emerging as a core building block of onchain finance strategies,” added Paul Frambot, co-founder and CEO of Morpho.
Bitwise said the strategy will be backed by its 140-person team of investment and technology professionals and more than eight years of experience as a crypto specialist.
