Broadridge unveils DLX for tokenised‑market operations

Platform positioned as an “accelerated pathway” to on chain operations while preserving existing institutional controls.

Broadridge has launched DLX, a digital‑asset infrastructure platform designed to act as an operating system for tokenised finance, offering multi‑chain connectivity, smart‑contract composition and 24/7 transaction capabilities.

The firm said DLX provides a single layer for on‑chain and off‑chain activity, initially connecting to the DTCC Tokenization Service via Canton.

“Tokenisation is increasingly becoming the foundation of more programmable, connected and always‑on financial markets,” said Horacio Barakat, Broadridge’s global head of digital innovation. “DLX gives market participants an accelerated pathway to operating on chain without sacrificing the controls, connectivity, and operating models they rely on today.”

DLX extends Broadridge’s Distributed Ledger Repo platform, which processes more than $350bn in daily activity, into a broader multi‑asset environment spanning issuance, trading, settlement, servicing, custody and governance. Broadridge said the platform is designed to reduce fragmentation across tokenised‑asset workflows by connecting issuers, intermediaries, investors and distribution channels through a common operating layer.

The system’s orchestration engine brings together tokenisation, smart‑contract services, trading workflows, settlement, books and records, custody and wallet infrastructure, enabling firms to integrate tokenised‑asset activity into existing operating models. DLX supports self‑custody, third‑party custody and hybrid arrangements, aligning asset‑holding models with institutional risk and regulatory requirements.

Broadridge said DLX builds on its broader tokenisation capabilities, including on‑chain proxy voting, governance and digital‑asset infrastructure, and incorporates its DLR solution, described as “the world’s largest institutional platform for settling tokenized real assets”, processing more than $351bn a day.

The firm said it aims to “abstract away the complexity” of tokenisation and deliver a unified experience across traditional and digital markets.
