Candriam tokenises Luxembourg funds via IZNES

Candriam has tokenised a selection of its Luxembourg-based funds via IZNES, a European marketplace offering the subscription and record-keeping of fund units on blockchain.

The move will offer investors simplified and direct digital access to a wide selection of Luxembourg-based Candriam funds.

The firm said the development was in response to increased client demand for more seamless, transparent and digital subscription solutions, while also aligning with new market expectations for operational efficiency.

The IZNES infrastructure will improve operational efficiency and reduce costs for clients compared to traditional financial rails, as well as strengthening Candriam’s  distribution capabilities, particularly in France, by using an innovative and rapidly adopted channel.

Sonia Aloui-Majri, head of sales, France, at Candriam, said: “With IZNES, we are accelerating the transformation of our distribution model. Our ambition is to offer our clients simplified, fast and efficient access to our Luxembourg-domiciled funds, while significantly reducing their operating costs.”

She added that the initiative illustrates the company’s commitment to meeting investors’ growing expectations for digitalisation and flexibility.

Christophe Lepitre, president of IZNES, said: “Investor demand for tokenised subscription solutions continues to grow, and we are establishing ourselves as a key driver for strengthening fund distribution in Europe, particularly in France.”

The funds include: Candriam Absolute Return, Candriam Bonds, Candriam Equities L, Candriam L Multi-Asset Income, Candriam Money Market, Candriam Sustainable.
