Circle unveils Arc validator network

Circle has announced the founding validator cohort for Arc, its new blockchain network designed for financial markets, payments and institutional digital asset activity.

The network, which is currently in private mainnet with more than 100 ecosystem and institutional builders, is expected to launch publicly on 16 September 2026.

The founding validator group includes major financial institutions and technology providers including BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, Mastercard, Visa, Standard Chartered and MoneyGram.

Circle said the validator model is designed to create a trusted network supported by institutions building on the infrastructure, helping meet the security, operational and compliance requirements expected of financial market infrastructure.

The company also announced planned integrations with major institutions exploring applications across tokenised assets, digital asset custody, stablecoin access and settlement infrastructure.

BlackRock is expected to deploy its BUIDL fund on Arc, enabling institutional investors to access tokenised fund activity through an on-chain environment powered by USDC.

Circle is also collaborating with DTCC to support future tokenisation of DTC-custodied assets on Arc, with the integration expected to begin in the second half of 2027.

Jeremy Allaire, Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman of Circle, said Arc aims to provide financial institutions with blockchain infrastructure that combines open innovation with institutional-grade standards.
