InterLink to develop quantum-resistant blockchain

InterLink, a blockchain infrastructure entity, has announced the development of a quantum-resistant blockchain to safeguard digital assets.

The project is positioned to alleviate what the company deems to be the biggest threat to Bitcoin’s future.

“The problem is that supercomputing power is evolving extremely fast, especially with the acceleration of AI,” the company said in a social media post.

“What once seemed nearly impossible breaking Bitcoin’s cryptographic security is no longer ‘impossible.’ It is becoming a real and growing risk.”

InterLink said that it aims to build one of the world’s most quantum-secure digital assets, aligned with security standards evaluated by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology.

The objective of the initiative is to protect tokens on its network against future threats, positioning the platform among the most secure blockchain ecosystems globally.

“We have already begun gathering top cryptographers to research and implement quantum-resistant mechanisms into InterLink’s infrastructure,” the social post added.
