Money 20/20 USA – Day 1 Preview

The opening day of Money20/20 USA in Las Vegas sets the stage for a week where capital markets, fintech and digital assets take centre stage.

The morning begins with Stablecoin Fraud: The Hidden Risk in the Payments Ecosystem, a panel that comes as regulators intensify scrutiny of stablecoins. With the Financial Stability Board warning of fragmented oversight and Japan’s digital yen ambitions recently in the spotlight (see Capital Pioneer story), the discussion will focus on how fraud risks could undermine confidence in tokenised payments.

At the Wealth Management Summit, TIFIN’s Vinay Nair will present The Future of Wealth Management: AI, Clients, and Digital Transformation. With major asset managers expanding digital platforms, as frequently reported by Capital Pioneer, this session will explore how artificial intelligence can deliver personalised portfolios while meeting compliance and client expectations.

The Data Summit then turns to Beyond Post‑Quantum Readiness. As tokenisation accelerates across capital markets, quantum resilience is becoming a pressing concern. Deloitte, DataSeers and Horizon Quantum Computing will debate how financial infrastructure must adapt to withstand quantum‑era threats.

The afternoon shifts to the Moving On‑Chain Summit, powered by Uphold. CEO Simon McLoughlin’s opening remarks will frame a vision of finance increasingly embedded on‑chain.

Panels will follow on blockchain adoption among younger generations, bitcoin integration by major brands, and the sector’s most contested debates.

The day closes with A View from Congress: The Future of Financial Innovation, featuring Congressman Mike Flood and Penny Lee. With US lawmakers weighing digital asset legislation, this session will be closely watched by capital market participants seeking clarity on the regulatory horizon.

Day one offers a roadmap for how finance, technology and regulation are set to collide in the year ahead. Stay tuned for coverage from our substantial on-the-ground team at this year’s event.
