Amundi expands tokenisation into European equity index funds
Amundi has extended its tokenisation strategy into index investing, issuing a new share class of its Amundi Core STOXX Europe 600 fund on the Ethereum blockchain.

Amundi has launched a tokenised share class of its Amundi Core STOXX Europe 600 fund, extending its digital asset strategy into mainstream equity index investing.
The initiative brings one of the asset manager's flagship European equity strategies onto the public Ethereum blockchain, while maintaining access through the fund's existing traditional distribution channels.
Developed in collaboration with CACEIS, the new share class uses the firm's technology and infrastructure to tokenise fund units.
The launch marks a further step in Amundi's efforts to connect traditional investment products with digital market infrastructure.
It follows the introduction of its first tokenised money market fund share class, alongside stablecoin subscription capabilities and partnerships with digital businesses and financial institutions exploring distributed ledger technology.
Amundi said tokenisation could support greater operational efficiency through automated processes, improved accessibility, faster settlement and increased transparency.
The asset manager also plans to progressively expand its range of tokenised funds to meet the evolving requirements of institutional investors and digital platforms.
