Ripple and SettleMint team up on digital asset custody

Ripple and SettleMint have announced a strategic partnership combining Ripple Custody with SettleMint’s Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform, giving financial institutions a single foundation to custody, issue and manage tokenised assets.

The integration is designed to simplify the management of digital assets across their full lifecycle, bringing custody, issuance, compliance, settlement and servicing together rather than requiring institutions to connect multiple specialist providers.

Ripple Custody provides institutional-grade infrastructure for securing digital assets, stablecoins and real-world assets. The company has expanded its custody capabilities through partnerships with firms including Securosys and Figment, as well as its integration with Chainalysis and acquisition of Palisade.

SettleMint’s DALP is designed for regulated financial institutions, market infrastructure operators and sovereign entities looking to issue and manage tokenised real-world assets. The platform acts as a governed control layer covering the asset lifecycle after issuance, including compliance, custody, settlement and servicing.

The companies said the combined solution will allow institutions to manage digital assets through a regulated and compliant framework, with permissioning and governance controls built into the process.

The partnership has already launched in Asia Pacific, with Ripple and SettleMint planning to expand the offering into additional markets as institutional demand develops.

The move comes as banks and traditional financial institutions increasingly explore tokenisation as a way to modernise financial-market infrastructure.

A May 2026 report from Boston Consulting Group projected that tokenised real-world assets could reach $88 trillion by 2035, highlighting the scale of the potential market.

Fiona Murray, Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Ripple, said the partnership responds to financial institutions looking to deploy digital assets without having to connect separate solutions for custody, issuance and governance.

Adam Popat, CEO of SettleMint, added that the combination of Ripple Custody and DALP provides institutions with a single foundation for custody and digital asset lifecycle management as capital markets increasingly move on-chain.
