Archax, Hedera enable real time on chain cash flows

Archax has rolled out real‑time, second‑by‑second cash‑flow streaming for tokenised securities issued on the Hedera network, introducing automated interest payments in USDC that update continuously in investors’ wallets.

The development brings live, production‑grade cash‑flow automation to digital securities, an area that has largely remained at the pilot stage across traditional finance.

Graham Rodford, chief executive of Archax, said the capability represents a shift in how economic rights can be handled on‑chain.

“Tokenising assets was the first step; streaming cash flows is a giant leap into the future of finance,” said Rodford, noting that this type of innovation “unlocks true on-chain utility – such as real-time yield payment streams – as well as reducing market inefficiencies”.

“This isn’t just a 24/7 market, it’s a real‑time, second‑by‑second market.”

The system distributes cash flows automatically as they accrue, with payments following the asset whenever it trades. Because the mechanism operates continuously, fractionalised securities generate fractionalised payments, removing the batch coupon cycles and reconciliation processes that typically underpin fixed‑income and revenue‑sharing instruments.

The infrastructure is built on Hedera’s public network and uses Circle’s USDC as the settlement currency. Hashgraph — the foundation that supports the Hedera ecosystem — is involved through its stewardship of the underlying network.

Gregg Bell, chief information officer at Hashgraph, said the model demonstrates how digital‑market plumbing can be made more precise. By enabling cash flows to move seamlessly with tokenised securities, we’re bringing greater efficiency, transparency, and precision to capital markets.”

Archax said the functionality is part of a broader push to support programmable assets, automated lifecycle events and continuous settlement within a regulated framework, positioning tokenised instruments to behave more like real‑time digital services than traditional financial products.
