Galaxy and BNY are collaborating to advance digital asset infrastructure for institutional markets, combining digital asset custody and staking within a single servicing model.
The partnership will integrate Galaxy’s staking infrastructure with BNY’s Digital Asset Custody platform, providing eligible institutional clients with a more streamlined way to participate in proof-of-stake networks while maintaining institutional standards for governance, oversight and security.
In addition to supporting staking capabilities, Galaxy will act as a design partner for enhancements to BNY’s digital asset platform infrastructure.
The introduction of staking services remains subject to regulatory review.
Carolyn Weinberg, Chief Product and Innovation Officer at BNY, said that institutional clients are increasingly looking for more comprehensive digital asset capabilities beyond custody alone.
The collaboration reflects growing demand from institutional investors for integrated digital asset services that combine custody, staking and operational infrastructure within a trusted financial framework.
Eligible clients will be able to access staking alongside custody, fund accounting, tax reporting, payments and client reporting through BNY’s broader servicing model.
Steve Kurz, Global Co-Head of Digital Assets at Galaxy, said that the partnership brings Galaxy’s institutional digital asset infrastructure into a framework trusted by some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
