Franklin Templeton-backed product launches on BingX

A Franklin Templeton-backed money market fund is underpinning a new yield product launched on trading platform BingX.

The move is yet further evidence of Franklin Templeton deepening its digital distribution strategy, moving traditional money market products onto blockchain-based platforms.

Kevin Lee, Chief Strategy Officer at BingX, said the launch gives users more ways to generate returns while retaining trading flexibility.

He said: “By bringing fund-based yield into our platform, we’re giving eligible users more ways to put their assets to work while maintaining the flexibility to move between savings and trading. It’s another step in our broader effort to connect digital assets with opportunities across traditional financial markets.”

The new product, BXUSD, is backed by investments in a US money market fund managed by Franklin Templeton. It allows eligible users to receive daily yield distributions while retaining the ability to redeem holdings or use them as margin for USDT-margined futures trading, subject to product terms.

Available exclusively through BingX, BXUSD can be subscribed to from 0.1 USDT with no subscription fee. Users receive one BXUSD for every USDT deposited and can transfer holdings into futures accounts while continuing to earn yield.

The offering includes both standard and fast redemption options, with fast withdrawals typically processed in about one minute.

Franklin Templeton has emerged as one of the most active traditional asset managers in tokenised finance. In January 2026 it expanded money market fund offerings aimed at blockchain-based distribution and stablecoin infrastructure, while later moving to embed tokenised assets within conventional investment funds.

The wider market for tokenised real-world assets has grown rapidly as financial institutions explore blockchain-based collateral, settlement and cash management solutions, with money market funds increasingly viewed as a bridge between traditional and digital finance.

Money market funds remain one of the largest pools of investable cash globally, helping to drive interest in products that combine traditional yield-generating assets with digital trading infrastructure.
