BCB Group has appointed Tim Renew as chief executive, effective at the end of January 2026. Co-founder Oliver Tonkin will move into the role of President, the company said in a release.
The changes follow a year in which the company expanded its leadership team, broadened its product offering and advanced its Series B fundraising.
Renew joined BCB July 2024 as chief revenue officer. His promotion comes as the firm seeks to consolidate recent growth and prepare for further international expansion. In a statement, he said he was “privileged” to take on the role and highlighted the company’s progress over the past year.
BCB has been increasing its regulatory footprint in several regions, a move aimed at supporting clients as digital asset markets evolve. The firm said this work is informing its expansion plans for 2026, with activity increasing in both new and existing markets.
Tonkin said the leadership shift marks “the start of another chapter” for the company. He will focus on supporting the firm’s next phase of development while maintaining the principles on which it was founded.
