Sponsor spotlight: Taurus reflects on DAS 2026

Founded in 2018, Taurus is a Switzerland-based financial technology company providing enterprise-grade digital asset infrastructure.

With 14 offices worldwide, Taurus supports financial institutions with solutions for issuing, safeguarding and trading digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokenised assets, stablecoins and digital currencies.

Following its participation in the Capital Pioneer Digital Assets Summit 2026, we spoke with the team about institutional adoption, tokenisation and the future of digitalised capital markets.

Why did Taurus sponsor the Capital Pioneer Digital Assets Summit 2026?

Our work centres on helping financial institutions build and operate digital asset services. DAS 2026 brought together the banks, asset managers and infrastructure providers whose collaboration makes those services possible.

Sponsoring the summit provided an opportunity to share experience from our work with institutions, hear directly from market participants and discuss how digital assets can improve fund distribution, settlement and liquidity management.

Why was DAS 2026 an important event for the digital assets and capital markets community?

The value of DAS lies in bringing together the people making investment decisions, developing technology and running financial services. Each brings a different perspective on what digital assets need to deliver.

The event connected those perspectives through discussions on tokenisation, distribution, market infrastructure and security, giving participants an opportunity to compare approaches and understand what it takes to make these services work across the wider market.

What are the biggest opportunities you see for digital assets over the next 12 months?

We see particularly strong opportunities in tokenised funds and digital money.

Tokenised money market funds can improve how institutions manage cash and use eligible fund shares as collateral. At the same time, tokenised deposits and stablecoins can support payment and settlement workflows outside traditional operating hours.

Connecting these capabilities gives banks and asset managers opportunities to reduce manual processing, use liquidity more efficiently and develop new services for clients.

What key trends are you currently watching?

Interoperability, privacy and the long-term security of digital asset infrastructure remain key areas of focus.

Institutions need to connect different networks and systems while maintaining control over transaction approvals and sensitive information.

We’re also closely following how governance requirements are being incorporated into token issuance and asset servicing, alongside the growing importance of post-quantum readiness.

How is Taurus helping shape the future of digitalised capital markets?

We provide the infrastructure institutions need to issue, safeguard and manage digital assets within their existing operating models.

Our solutions combine tokenisation, custody and governance capabilities, while supporting collateral and settlement workflows between participants. Recent connectivity initiatives with established financial networks are helping institutions extend their digital asset capabilities while retaining control over their infrastructure.

What challenges still need to be overcome to drive wider institutional adoption?

Wider adoption requires a clear business case and an operating model that works across the full transaction lifecycle.

Institutions need clarity around ownership and settlement, robust custody arrangements and integration with existing systems and controls. Distribution, liquidity and operational support capabilities must also evolve alongside the technology.

Looking ahead

As institutional adoption continues to accelerate, Taurus believes the focus must remain on connecting infrastructure, governance and real-world use cases.

The conversations at DAS 2026 reinforced the growing momentum behind tokenisation, digital money and interoperable market infrastructure, while highlighting the work still required to bring digital assets fully into the mainstream of financial services.
